Susan and James’s wedding took place on a beautiful, blue sky day. Minister Dwight Anthony of Shepherd’s House International and Reverend Vernon Jackson officiated. Mr. Anthony read scripture, followed by explaining God’s meaning for marriage. Mr. Jackson then gave the prayer of invocation and read scripture as well.
The couple exchanged vows they had each written to the other and then the rings. Mr. Anthony read more scripture, then Mr. Jackson did the same. Mr. Anthony asked James and then Susan for their profession of faith to which they each confirmed. A musical selection played, followed by the couple showing their unity by tying the cord of three strands.
Mr. Anthony pronounced them husband and wife and they enjoyed a kiss. Cheers erupted as the newlyweds headed back down the aisle, only to pause a moment to share another kiss.
