From a young age, I (Rob) had a passion for video and film cameras, often capturing my family during unexpected yet delightful moments at Christmas. My love for film led me to work as a projectionist at various theaters in Roanoke, which eventually opened doors for me to work as an apprentice editor on three feature films: “Major Payne,” “The Shadow Conspiracy,” and “That Darn Cat.”

After these experiences, I began filming small weddings—some as favors for friends and one as a gift for my sister. One day, my wife suggested, “Why don’t you turn this into a career?” I thought, “What a great idea!” And so, Star City Creations was born.
